EV charging
EV charging – Parking spaces with EV charging directly at the house - 4 wallboxes with fixed Type 2 cables and up to 11 kW AC are available for our 6 apartments; unlock with the RFID chip in the apartment key tag; charging is free and there is no need to move the car; in summer, solar power from our own roof during the day; at busy times we coordinate use as needed.
How to charge
- Plug in. Push the wallbox plug into your car until it clicks.
- Hold up the key tag. Briefly hold your apartment key tag against the card symbol on the wallbox – it contains an RFID chip that unlocks the box. The top of the ring lights up green.
- Done. The box starts charging right away, free of charge – in summer with solar power from our roof by day, otherwise from our battery and the grid.
Your car can stay at the parking space with charging point for your whole stay – no need to move it and no idle fees. Once it is full, please unplug and hang the cable back in its holder. At busy times we coordinate use as needed. If the plug will not come out, the car is still locked.
What the light ring shows
- Blue, white dots moving – the box is waiting for your key tag.
- Yellow – solar power from our roof.
- Green – power from our battery.
- White – power from the grid.
- All green – fully charged (or your car’s charge limit is reached).
- Top red – tag not recognised. Tell us your apartment number (the number on the tag) and we will unlock it.
- Red flashing? Just give us a call, we will take care of it.
Not charging?
Nearly always it is one of these – please check in this order:
- Charging time or departure time set in the car? Then the car waits until that time (ring yellow, display Power 0 kW). Switch it off – or simply wait.
- Plug fully in? Push the plug in firmly once more until it clicks.
- Hold the tag again. Flat against the card symbol until the top lights up green.
Otherwise just call us – we live in the house.
Good to know
- At busy times we coordinate use as needed. Your car stays at the parking space.
- Summer tip: leave the car plugged in during the day and the sun does the charging.
